A Bit About Us
Turning Interest Into Action

Toni Moore has been a Bible study teacher and ministry leader for over 25 years. Married to Clay since 1987, they have two grown children who they now refer to as ‘self-feeders.’ Enjoying their new chapter of empty-nesting has brought more opportunities to minister to people in creative ways through biblical hospitality and ballroom dancing. Toni and Clay look forward to meeting you and sharing a meal, sharing your story, and sharing Christ.
What We Believe
We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God and that He divinely guided humans to write it down in such a way so as to not contain errors. Because of that, it is useful for teaching God’s Truth, correcting wrong thoughts, training children, and more.

We believe there is one God, and that He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

As the Father, God reigns with loving care over everything He’s created in His universe. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all-wise.

As the Son, Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, a virgin. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, being both fully human and fully divine.

As the Holy Spirit, He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Today, He helps us understand those Scriptures, exalts Christ, and convicts us of our sin. The Holy Spirit pours God’s love into our hearts.

We believe man is a special creation of God, made in His own image, and He created them male and female for a reason. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Because of this, we are separated from God for eternity – only the grace of God can bring us back into His holy fellowship.

We believe it is by grace we have been saved through faith, and that faith by itself (without works) is dead. There is no salvation apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The salvation God offers includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

Regeneration is a work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, causing the sinner to repent and turn from sin toward God.

Justification is God’s gracious and full acquittal of all sinners who repent and believe. It brings the believer into a relationship of peace and favor with God.

Sanctification is the experience which begins in regeneration, where the believer is set apart to God’s purpose, and continues throughout the believer’s life. It leads to glorification.

Glorification is the culmination of salvation and the final state of the redeemed.

We believe election is the gracious purpose of God, according to which He regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies sinners. Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace. Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation, grieving the Spirit and bringing reproach on the cause of Christ, but they shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. Our actions, as Christians, speak loudly to non-believers, and therefore we must strive to be above reproach.

We believe the church is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. (Please note that Followship Ministries is not a church – it is a ministry.) The scriptural officers of the church are pastors and deacons; while both men and women are gifted for service within the church, the office of pastor is limited to men according to Scripture. We also believe the church is the body of Christ, which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages, believers from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.

We believe baptism and the Lord’s Supper are testimonies of faith and acts of obedience by believers. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior, as well as the believer’s death to sin, burial of their old life, and their resurrection of a new life in Christ. It is a prerequisite to church membership and taking the Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper allows the church to gather as a group and memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.

We believe the first day of the week is the Lord’s Day. This is a day we as believers set aside, to regularly commemorate the resurrection of Christ, both publicly and privately.

We believe the Kingdom of God includes the natural universe over which He reigns and the men and women who trust and acknowledge Him as King. It is a realm of salvation into which mankind enters by trustful, childlike commitment to Jesus Christ.

We believe Jesus Christ will return again to earth personally and visibly in glory. At that time, God will bring the world to its appropriate end: the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all of mankind, punishing those who are unrighteous and glorifying the bodies of those who will dwell forever in Heaven with Him.

We believe it is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ to make disciples of all nations. Every child of God is to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witnessing and by living a Christian lifestyle in accordance with the Word of God.

We believe all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge abide in Christ and His teaching. Our new birth opens our minds and creates a thirst for this knowledge.

We believe God is the source of all our blessings; all that we have and are we owe to Him—we are but humble stewards of all He has entrusted to us. Because of this, we are obligated to serve Him with our time, talents, and material possessions in a manner that is cheerful, systematic, and liberal, as well as proportionate to what we have been given.

We believe we are under obligation to make the will of Christ supreme in our own lives and in society in general. To do this, we will be ready to work with all men of good will in any good cause, always being careful to act in the spirit of love and not compromising our loyalty to Christ and His truth.

We believe in religious liberty, and that the church and state should be separate. Civil government is ordained by God, therefore it is our duty to be loyal, providing it does not go against the will of God. Having free and unhindered access to God, and the right to form and share opinions without interference by the civil powers, is the Christian ideal.

We believe ‘family’ to mean a male and a female joined together by law, with or without children related by blood or through adoption. Marriage is a covenant joined into freely and committed to for life. Since both husband and wife are created by God, they have equal worth in His sight. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church; the wife is to graciously submit to her husband’s servant leadership as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ. Children are a blessing from the moment of conception. They are a heritage from the Lord. Christian parents have the obligation to teach their children spiritual and moral values verbally, by example, and through loving discipline. Children are commanded to honor and obey their parents.
